The head of a cyborg reactivates and rebuilds itself and goes on a violent rampage in a space marine's girlfriend's apartment.
Ahead of it's time Classic! Same goes for the music and musicians in the film: Lemmy, Iggy Pop, Ministry, Gwar, P.I.L. All still holds up today.

Learn Your Way Around Prometheus
There's a new promotional poster for Ridley Scott's Prometheus (due in theaters on June 8th) online, and it features one mighty nifty diagram of the film's title ship. Check it out after the break.

Here's the synopsis for Prometheus: "Ridley Scott, director of Alien and Blade Runner, returns to the genre he helped define. With Prometheus, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race."
Immortal (Ad Vitam) (2004)
In the distant future, Earth is occupied by ancient gods and genetically altered humans. When a god is sentenced to death he seeks a new human host and a woman to bear his child. Despite what some consider controversial content in the movie. Immortal [Ad Vitem] 2004 from the graphic novel by Enki Bilal remains one of my all time favorite science fiction adaptations.
A scene from Immortel (Ad Vitam). The film takes place in New York City in the year 2095 where genetically altered humans live side by side with unaltered men and women, and where Central Park has been mysteriously encased in an "intrusion zone" where people who attempt to enter are instantly killed. A strange pyramid has appeared over the city; inside, the gods of ancient Egyptian have judged Horus, one of their fellow gods, to cease his immortality.
In the city below, Jill, a young alien woman with blue hair is arrested.
ZERAM (1991)
One of the interesting things about having favorite movies in this age of video is that, if you sit down once or twice every year to watch that movie you own, you also end up watching the same trailer over and over.
Zeram is a Corny, Stupid and FUN movie about a cool looking rampaging monster and a woman in futuristic battle armor fighting it.
It's Asian live-action Manga, and there was something kind of charming and nonthreatening about the trailer: Cool music, lots of explosions, and a woman who kicked ass.

Tetsuo II: Body Hammer (1992)
Tetsuo II: Body Hammer is a 1992 Japanese science fiction/horror film directed by Shinya Tsukamoto. It is a bigger-budget reworking of the same director's 1989 movie Tetsuo: The Iron Man, utilizing similar themes and ideas to the earlier film (a Japanese salaryman, played by cult actor Tomorowo Taguchi, finds his body transforming into a weapon through sheer rage after his son is kidnapped by a gang of violent thugs.) It was not as well received as its predecessor but it did win the Critic's Award at the 3rd Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival in February 1992.
If you saw and loved the frantic, bizarre, violent, sexual, metal-fetish nightmare musings about man vs. machine presented in the first film- well chances are you'll find something to enjoy in this one too.
